Visual Identity
The Casino of Constanta is a personal project I did for my bachelor exam. I decided to choose a landmark from my hometown and give it a visual identity. My aim was to attract attention to its decaying state in the hopes of getting the local authorities, society, and investors to work together and restore it to its original grandeur. The logo represents the iconic front window, which is in the shape of a seashell, as the casino is right on the seashore. The style tries to imitate the elegance of the art-nouveau, which is the same as the building's architectural style. In order to show what it might become, I have created casino related products such as poker chips, playing cards, a poker table, and a wax seal. Furthermore, I have tried to create an identity which can be used for a casino as well as for a cultural building in the case it is restored and transformed into a museum.
